Kilimanjaro – Route Lemosho
It is the least traveled and most challenging route of all, but it is also the one with the most beautiful path. Go through the western gap of the mountain, to the Shira plateau. This route has several days for the acclimatization to be progressive and to increase the possibilities of completing the entire route. This path allows you to enjoy climbing through forests and moors, and explore the deserts of the mountain while at the same time enjoying spectacular views.

The adventure begins!
Day 1
Arrival at the airport: KILIMANJARO – MOSHI
Stay: Honey Badger Lodge [Dinner included]
Welcome Kilimanjaro International Airport. Transfer to the mythical capital city of Kilimanjaro, Moshi, where the hotel of your first night in Tanzania is located. After the briefing we will have a welcome dinner before the expedition to Kilimanjaro begins.
Day 2
Lemosho Londorossi Entrance (2.360 m) / Big Tree Camp (2.850 m)
Stay: Tent [Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner]
We begin our Kilimanjaro challenge from the Londorossi gate of Kilimanjaro by a narrow path that will take us to the most beautiful part of the tropical jungle surrounding Kilimanjaro
Vegetation: Humid, semi-tropical forest.
Day 3
Big Tree Camp (2.850 m) / Shira 2 Camp (3.850 m)
Stay: Tent [Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner]
We continue climbing and little by little the jungle will be losing thickness until we enter the moor on the crest of Mount Shira and then descend through the plateau to the Shira 1 camp. The route through the Shira forest will favor acclimatization and we will have the opportunity to see the most beautiful views of the peaks with perpetual snow of Kilimanjaro from the Cathedral.
Vegetation: Alpine forest and plateau.
Day 4
Shira 2 Camp (3.850 m) / Barranco Camp (3.980 m)
Stay: Tent [Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner]
We continue towards Torre de Lava (4,600 m) ascending by a very stony path to descend the great valley of Barranco. Today’s stage will be key to a good acclimatization.
Vegetation: Plateau and Alpine desert.
Day 7
Barafu Camp (4.680 m) / Uhuru Peak (5.895 m) / Camp Mweka(3.100 m)
Stay: Horombo wood cabin [Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner]
Very early in the morning we will begin the key day of the Kilimajaro challenge. The road will take us to the Kibo crater, where we will make a peak at sunrise on Uhuru Peak. To descend, we will use the descent of the Machame route through Mweka.
High mountain, ice blocks and alpine desert.
Day 8
Mweka Camp (3.100 m) / Mweka Camp (1.640 m) / Moshi
Stay: Honey Badger Lodge [Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner]
We bid farewell to Kilimanjaro by descending through its forested and lower slopes. Once the diplomas are delivered, we will transfer by vehicle to our hotel in Moshi.
Vegetation: Humid, semi-tropical forest.
